Features

Built for the days
that actually pay the bills.

Outings, leagues, and a tee sheet your counter staff will like — plus the website that has been on your to-do list since 2014.

The biggest days on your calendar

Outings & events, end to end

An outing is the largest single transaction most daily-fee courses ever process, and almost every tee-sheet vendor models it as a booking with a headcount typed into a box. That leaves the organizer emailing a spreadsheet around and your pro shop staring at a static number. We model the sale AND the people.

  • ·Publish your outing packages — format, inclusions, per-player price, minimums — so inquiries arrive qualified instead of as a Facebook message.
  • ·An inquiry → quote pipeline: the request lands in the dashboard, you send a quote, it becomes a confirmed outing on the tee sheet.
  • ·A shareable registration link the organizer hands out. No login wall, no account required — each entrant registers themselves and gets a confirmation code.
  • ·Live entrant status for the pro shop: registered against capacity, paid vs unpaid, amount collected, groups formed, checked in.
  • ·An organizer portal on a revocable link — the roster as an editable grid, pairings, CSV import and export, and the shareable link with a QR code. Scoped to one outing, no account needed.
  • ·Capacity is authoritative: overflow goes to a waitlist, and two people registering at the same instant can never oversell the field.
  • ·Entrant contact details are staff-only by default. A public roster is opt-in, not the default.

Deposits and per-player entry fees collected here are exactly the money the per-transaction model applies to — see pricing.

The half nobody built

League signup, dues, and your weekly tee block

Ask a course what it does for its leagues and the answer is usually "we collect the money and hold the tee times." That is the job we built. Scoring is a solved problem with a free, dominant incumbent — keep it where it is.

  • ·Online league signup from your public site, so a new member joins without calling the pro shop.
  • ·Dues collected online instead of in cash, checks, and Venmo — the collection gap free scoring apps leave open.
  • ·The roster the pro shop actually needs: who is in, who dropped, who is waiting, and contact details in one place.
  • ·Activating a league reserves its recurring tee block on your sheet for the whole season, and completing it releases the block.
  • ·A public league page on your own site, with a join flow that does not require an account.

Keep your scoring where it is. Golf Genius TM Club is free to member clubs through state associations covering about 92% of GHIN golfers, and plenty of leagues run 18Birdies instead. We do not compete with that — we handle signup, the money, and your tee sheet. A simple score-entry and standings screen exists in the dashboard as a convenience for leagues with nothing else, and that is all it is.

For the counter, not the demo

A tee sheet that cannot double-book

Slot inventory is enforced by the database, not by the person at the counter. Two golfers claiming the last spot at 8:40 is a race the database settles, every time.

  • ·Day grid of every slot and every party, with walk-in booking, check-in, and cancel in two clicks.
  • ·Capacity, tee-time interval, and how far ahead golfers may book are all yours to set.
  • ·Reserve mode is the default: name and phone is a booking, payment happens at your register.
  • ·Prepay and card-hold are per-club options you turn on if and when you want them.
  • ·League blocks and confirmed outings occupy the sheet automatically — no manual holds to forget.

Where your golfers actually are

Online booking with no account wall

The fastest way to lose a booking is to ask someone to create an account. Guests book with a name and a phone number and get a confirmation code.

  • ·Date picker and slot grid, mobile-first, reserve in under a minute.
  • ·No account required to book, and no booking fee added at checkout — golfers are never surcharged.
  • ·Booking lookup and cancellation by confirmation code, no login.
  • ·Confirmation, cancellation, and day-before reminder emails sent under your course’s name, with RootGolfer only in the footer.

One source of truth

Rate rules that price the page and the booking

Weekday and weekend, 9 or 18, senior, junior, twilight, league — ordered rules that price both your public rates page and every booking. Change a rate once and it is right everywhere.

  • ·Ordered, deterministic rules — you can read them and predict them.
  • ·Your published rates page renders from the same rules that price a booking, so they cannot drift apart.
  • ·Per-club timezone handling, so a 5:40 twilight rate means 5:40 at your course.

Yield-managed dynamic pricing is not in the product today — rate rules are deterministic by design.

On your own domain

A website your staff can actually edit

Rates, scorecard, leagues, outings, contact, and the banquet room — a real site on your own domain, built from editable blocks rather than a vendor ticket queue.

  • ·Page builder with golf-native blocks: tee-time widget, rates table, scorecard, league pages, outing inquiry forms.
  • ·Your branding, your domain, your media library.
  • ·Every page is a document your staff can edit — nothing on the public site is hard-coded content only we can change.
  • ·Hole-by-hole scorecard with all your tee sets, ratings, and slopes.

Who can do what

Owner and staff accounts, scoped properly

The person running the counter on a Saturday should not be able to change your rates or your billing.

  • ·Club owner: everything — website, courses, rates, tee sheet, bookings, leagues, outings, staff.
  • ·Staff: tee sheet, bookings, and league day-of operations only.
  • ·Every permission check is scoped to the club, not to a global role.

Apps

iOS and Android for golfers

Discover courses, view a course and its rates, book a tee time, and keep your bookings in one place — with the same no-login-wall rule as the web.

  • ·Browse and book without an account; signing in adds bookings that sync across devices.
  • ·Your course’s real data — rates, tee sheet, leagues — not a demo fixture.
  • ·Offline degradation is honest: cached detail stays readable, and the app says so instead of showing a blank screen.

And the things we don’t do

No point of sale, no official GHIN handicap posting, no scoring or standings engine, no marketplace distribution, no 24/7 call center, and no dynamic pricing yet. The full list, with what to use instead, is on the comparison page.

We’ll stand up a demo site with your rates, your scorecard, and your league nights — before you commit to anything.
