How it works

Two journeys.
Both shorter than a phone call.

Here is what a golfer does, and here is what your pro shop does. No inventory traded away, no monthly invoice, no integration project.

For your golfers

Find → Reserve → Play

The way people actually book: on a phone, in under a minute, without making an account or paying a fee to do it.

1. Find the tee time

A golfer lands on your own site — your domain, your rates, your scorecard — picks a date, and sees a live slot grid. Mobile-first, because that is where they are standing when they decide to play.

2. Reserve, no account

Name and phone number is a booking. No sign-up wall, no card required, and no booking fee added at checkout. Prepay and card-hold exist as options you can turn on; they are never the default.

3. Confirmation, then a reminder

A confirmation email goes out under your course’s name with the tee time in your course’s timezone, and a reminder lands the day before. They can look the booking up or cancel by code — no login.

For your pro shop

Set up → Load → Run the day

Built on the same engines that already run leagues, facility bookings, and camps in production. It is not new code with new bugs.

1. Set the course up

Claim your subdomain (e.g. timberwood.rootgolfer.com) or point your own domain at it, add your courses and tee sets, drop your logo, and set your booking window and interval.

2. Load rates, leagues, and outing packages

Ordered rate rules price both your public rates page and every booking. League nights reserve their weekly tee block. Outing packages publish so inquiries arrive qualified instead of as a Facebook message.

3. Run the day from one screen

The tee sheet is a day grid of every slot and every party: walk-in booking, check-in, cancel. Leagues, outings, and bookings all land on the same sheet — nothing to hold manually and forget.

The big one

How an outing flows

The largest transaction on the property, run as a real pipeline instead of a spreadsheet emailed around.

  1. 1

    Inquiry

A company or a charity fills in the outing form on your site — date, headcount, format, budget. It lands in your dashboard, not in a shared inbox.

  2. 2

    Quote

You pick a package, adjust it, and send a quote. When they accept, the outing is confirmed and its block goes on the tee sheet.

  3. 3

    Registration link

The organizer gets a shareable link and a QR code to hand out. Every entrant registers themselves — name, contact, handicap, shirt size, meal choice — with no account and no login wall.

  4. 4

    Live status

Your pro shop watches it fill: registered against capacity, paid vs unpaid, amount collected, groups formed. Capacity is authoritative, so the field can never oversell.

  5. 5

    Day of

Groups and pairings from the organizer portal, a roster the starter can read, hole assignments, and CSV out for anything you need elsewhere.

The half nobody built

How a league flows

Signup, the money, and your tee sheet. Scoring stays in whatever app your league already uses.

  1. 1

    Create the league

Night, first tee time, how many slots a week, season start and end, and the fee text golfers will see.

  2. 2

    Activate

Activating reserves the recurring tee block on your sheet for the whole season. Completing the league releases it.

  3. 3

    Signup & dues

Golfers join from your public league page. Dues get collected online instead of in cash, checks, and Venmo — the gap the free scoring apps leave wide open.

  4. 4

    Scoring stays put

Keep Golf Genius, 18Birdies, or whatever your league already uses. We are not trying to replace it, and we will not pretend standings are our differentiator.

And the commercial part, in one line

Nothing up front, no monthly bill, no tee times traded away. $5 per transaction up to $150, or 5% above that — never both, and only on money we actually process for you: league dues, outing deposits and entry fees, prepaid rounds if you opt in. Nothing on the green fees you take at the counter, and a reserve-mode tee time costs your course nothing.
